Hi, i wanted to ask whether someone can access an iPad that has been put into lost mode?

I've lost my iPad Mini 16GB almost 2 months ago. I realise it like 6 hours later, so I directly put it in a lost mode. I've no notification about it, yet I keep on waiting. until today, I get a notification that my iPad has been found. but the problem is the person who found it didn't want to contact me so I don't know where it's exactly. it's shown that my iPad was online since this morning, but I was wondering if they can access my lost iPad or not? access something like open photos, or other apps in my iPad.
